Hubbard Churcher Scholarships 2024

After a three year hiatus the 2024 Hubbard Churcher Scholarships have been awarded to two South Canterbury students.

Jemimah Francisco from Roncalli College will be studying for a Bachelor of Education at Canterbury University and Seatiniimalōaufa'atasi Tusani from Timaru Girls High School will be studying for a Law Degree at Otago University.

The Hubbard Churcher scholarship was last awarded in 2021 and has been awarded to 62 students including MP for Rangitata, James Meager, since 2009.  It was initially created in 2004 by the late Allan and Margaret Hubbard, to help further the education of students in South Canterbury that may have financial or social challenges.
