The 2024 St Andrews Youth Endowment Scholarships have been awarded to two students from Craighead Diocesan School.   Camryn Porter and Jessica Box.

Camryn will be using her scholarship for academic pursuits to study a Bachelor of Science double majoring in mathematics and economics at University of Otago, and Jessica Box’s scholarship went towards her recent sporting pursuits attending the Funakoshi Gichin Cup: 16th World Karate Championship Tournament in Japan.

This is the fourth year that these scholarships have been awarded from the fund that came out of the sale of the St Andrews Golf Club. The Youth Scholarship are awarded to support applicants who are living in or were born in the wider St Andrews area. Applicants must be under 18 years of age and are pursuing sporting, cultural or academic excellence.

Both of the recipients were presented their certificates at a school assembly on the 16th of October at Craighead Diocesan School.

On behalf of all of us at the Aoraki Foundation and the former St. Andrews Golf Club, we wish both these impressive young women the very best in their future studies.
